rinnovovoti 01The Vows Renewal

The Young Professed of Senegal Area met with Sr. Marie Augustine (CCA of Senegal) at the monastery of Keur Moussa for a retreat from October 8 to October 10, 2014 to prepare themselves for the renewal of their vows. At the end of this retreat, on October 11th at the chapel of the Hallelujah Community in the Unité 15 sector, each young sister renewed her vows. Father Enzo, OMI conducted the liturgy, and his homily, stressed the importance of welcoming religious life as a grace, and the significance of following God's will. God’s will is manifested through one’s religious Superiors -- and all of this is sustained by our faith in Jesus Christ of whom we are the children and from whom we receive everything.

The young Sisters share their Experience:

Sister Domitilde MANGA: Personally, I understood that life is an eternal beginning, a renewed look, a renewed vision … And consequently, the sentence that I chose to accompany me is taken from Rule and Life of the Brothers and Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis: “With undivided hearts, they may increase in universal love by continually turning to God and to neighbor”.

During our preparatory retreat, Sister Augustine helped us to understand the act of freedom that the Renewal represents. For me these two days of retreat have been particularly propitious because the retreat helped move me away from the previous two months of vacation, and provided a time for reflection on what I was going to do. I reviewed the resolutions of my retreat and the session “Mater Christi JP 1” for the Young professed.

Sister Jacqueline COMPAORE: I became aware that the call to the discipleship of Christ is a Grace. Thanks to this new step in my attempt to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, He seems to have trusted my availability to experience the healing charism. The retreat allowed me to plant anew the healing seeds, and to revive my own personal renewal for a more fraternal life. rinnovovoti 03The fraternal mealJesus calls me to be a religious woman through my daily life experiences in the love of others and in communion with them. For me, the imitation of Christ is my endless walk with Him through recognizing His presence in my Sisters or brothers, who is also a child of God and who expects from me a gesture or an edifying word which would transform his life. I also opened a new page in my life and I want to live the charism while learning once again how to love with no conditions so that in my life, good will always be victorious over evil.

Our sincere gratitude goes to our Congregational Minister, Sister Licia and her Council, and to all members of the Congregation who accompany us through their prayers and their fraternal support.
